Mildred Majchrowitz's Obituary
Racine- Mrs. Mildred M. (nee: Holzschuh) Majchrowitz, 97, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints.
Mildred was born on May 8, 1915 to the late Elmer and Mary Holzschuh in Mason City, Iowa. On June 10, 1939, she was united in marriage to Leo P. Majchrowitz at St. Rose Catholic Church in Racine. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2005.
She had been an active member of St. Edward's Catholic Church and was involved in the Altar Society. She also loved cooking and baking and was best known for her pies and chop suey. In the past, she had also been an early member of the Garden Club at Wustum Museum and had served as a Cub Scout Den Leader. But most of all, family was very important to her especially when she could hold and care for her grandbabies.
Mildred will be dearly missed by her two sons, Timothy (Patricia) of Racine, and Thomas (Judith) of Huntley, IL; nephew, Stanley Klescewski; son-in-law, Roger Kipp; 10 grandchildren, Michael, John, Thomas Jr., Julie, Amy, Katie, Anne, Sara, James and Karen; 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; sister-in-law Margaret Holzschuh of Colonial Heights, VA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Joanne Majchrowitz and Julie Kipp; as well as her brother and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Edward's Catholic Church (1401 Grove Ave.) on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11:00am with Fr. Allen Bratkowski officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Saturday at church at 10:00am until the time of service. Private entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery-Hwy 32 at a later date. Memorials may be directed to St. Edward's Catholic School and Church.
