Michael Molinaro's Obituary
Mount Pleasant - Michael Molinaro, 97, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, March 7, 2025, at his residence.
Michael was born on December 19, 1927, in Racine to the late Louis and Anne (née Farina) Molinaro. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the early 1950s. On February 19, 1955, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Glischinski in Oak Creek. They shared many wonderful years together before Dorothy’s passing on April 2, 2004.
Michael dedicated 29 years of his career as a machinist at J.I. Case before retiring in 1991. In his well-earned retirement, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a love for playing cribbage and cards, and he could often be found working with his hands—whether it was building intricate dollhouses, tinkering with cars and lawnmowers, or even knitting and sewing. An avid outdoorsman, Michael loved fishing and was known for his daily 10-mile walks. He enjoyed watching old westerns, listening to country music, and had a special admiration for eagles.
Above all, Michael cherished his family. His granddaughter and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy, bringing him immense happiness and countless cherished moments. His loyal dog, Mattie, was always by his side.
Michael will be deeply missed by his children: Louis “Chip” Molinaro, Ellynn Zittel, Gregory Molinaro, and Vanessa Molinaro; granddaughter, Melissa (Scott) Matson; great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Matson, Seth Matson, and Riley Matson; great-great granddaughter, Sophia Matson; and his dog, Mattie.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; and three of his four siblings.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Compassus Hospice for their wonderful care for Michael.
