Mary Jane Walker's Obituary
Racine – Mary Jane Walker, 55, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Mary Jane was the youngest of 11 siblings and was deeply loved by her entire family. She was an amazing woman who used her bilingual talents to build a career in the clerical field. She had a passion for makeup and loved to stay glammed up at all times. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and children. Mary Jane had a vibrant personality—she was funny, strong-willed, and not to be played with. To know her was to truly love her. Above all, Mary Jane was a devoted Christian whose faith carried her through life’s joys and challenges.
Her love for her family was unmatched, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. Her passing leaves a deep void, and her family is truly saddened by this tremendous loss.
On New Year’s Eve in 2020, Mary Jane suffered a massive stroke that left her in a very fragile state. Despite this life-altering event, she showed incredible strength and resilience, fighting to remain with her loved ones for five years. Her journey was not easy, but she continued to push forward with courage and determination. Where such a tragedy could take someone in an instant, Mary Jane proved to be a true fighter—holding on for the sake of her children and family.
Her strength, love, and perseverance will forever be remembered. Though it is difficult to imagine life without her, we find peace in knowing that she has gained her wings and entered the gates of Heaven.
Mary Jane’s legacy will live on through the many lives she touched, and she will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
Mary Jane was a loving wife, mother, sister, and cherished Mima whose presence brought warmth, strength, and laughter to all who knew her. She was the devoted mother of four children: Andres, Cynthia, Whitney, and Mia. Mary Jane shared 15 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Anthony Walker, building a life centered on love, family, and resilience.
She was a proud and deeply loving grandmother to 21 grandchildren: Mae’Liha, Andre, Aaron, Avery, Mi’Lha, Mi’Layha, Marquan Jr., Ma’Khi, Jahi, Julian, Mi’Kha, Jonathan Jr., Mi’Kayha, Nadia, Jackson, Leila, Abigail, Austin, Liliana, Mari’Jae, and baby Dylan; and great grandbaby, Milan. Being “Mima” was one of her greatest joys, and she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.
