Mary Kwas' Obituary
Mrs. Mary M. Kwas (nee: Rorek), 91, passed away on Sunday December 16, 2007 at Evergreen Nursing Home in Burkburnett, Texas.
Mrs. Kwas was born in Langdon, North Dakota to the late Stanley and Helen (nee: Washebek) Rorek on May 5, 1916. She lived most of her life in Racine. Mary was united in marriage to Theophile "Tuffy" Kwas at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Racine in 1934.
Mary worked at Belle City Malleable for over twenty years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years and was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion.
Mary is survived by her two sons; Ted (Brigitte) Kwas of Texas, Tom of Racine; one daughter, Toni (George) Schmidt of Racine; four grandchildren; Michael, Debbie, Damion and Roxanne; Five great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one sister, Sue Metzter and many other nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave., on Friday, Dec 21, 2007 at 10 a.m. with Father Ronald O. Crewe officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the Church on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
