Mary Evelyn Fox's Obituary
Wauwatosa - Mary Evelyn Fox (nee Sandle), age 101, passed away peacefully and went home to stay with Jesus in Heaven on July 6, 2021.
Mary was born in Racine to the late Adolph Anderson and Hilma Amalie Sandle on May 20, 1920. In Racine, she was united in marriage to James Bernard Fox in 1937. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2012, at the age of 96.
Mary lived at St. Camillus Assisted Living in Wauwatosa where she also practiced her faith in Jesus. She was employed as a cosmetologist at Boston Store. Mary took pleasure in knitting and making quilts. She appreciated the art of making ceramics. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy. Mary also loved staying fit by playing golf and walking.
Mary is lovingly remembered by her children: Mary Lou Johnson, Diane Pellegrin, Judy (David) Brooks, and Peter Michael Fox; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, James; sister, Helena Johnson; brothers: George Sandle, Harry Sandle, and Ozzy Sandle; son-in-law, Robert Johnson; daughter-in-law, Nancy Fox; sister-in-law, Margaret Vrana; brothers-in-law: Charles Fox, Richard Fox, and Peter William Fox.
A Funeral Memorial Mass for Mary will be held at St. Richards Catholic Church, 1503 Grand Ave, Racine, WI 53403, on August 10, 2022, at 11:00 AM with Fr. Jose Mario Nieto celebrating. A service of committal and inurnment in a niche will occur at West Lawn Memorial Park.
