Martha Maria Semmler's Obituary
Racine - Martha Maria Semmler, 100, passed away peacefully at St. Monica's Senior Living on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
Martha was born on November 22, 1925, to the late Michael and Franziska (née Dinda) Weinheimer. On September 24, 1949, she was united in marriage to Adolf Semmler. Together they shared a loving and devoted marriage for 55 years until Adolf's passing on November 4, 2004.
A woman of deep faith, Martha was a proud and faithful member of Racine Bible Church. In her earlier years, she worked as a seamstress at Rainfair. Martha treasured her family and found great joy in spending time with those she loved.
Martha will be deeply missed by her daughter, Ruth (Roger) Hogsett; her grandchildren, Adam (Jaime) Hogsett, Carmen (Wil) Hern, Lucas Hogsett, Matthew (Ashlee) Hogsett, and Rebecca (Josh) Evans; and her 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Martha was preceded in death by her sister, Katja Than, and her brothers, Henry Weinheimer and Oscar Weinheimer.
A celebration of Martha's life will be held at Racine Bible Church on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment with committal services will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials in Martha's name may be directed to Racine Bible Church (12505 Spring St, Sturtevant, WI 53177).
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St. Monica's Senior Living for the compassionate care, kindness, and support they provided to Martha throughout her time there. A special thank you is also extended to Sue Kabush for her friendship, dedication, and loving care shown to Martha over the years.
