Martha May Beier's Obituary
Martha May Beier (nee: Bailey), 86, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015. She was born in Racine, WI on March 24, 1929, the youngest child of the late Benjamin and Jennie (nee: Lanphear) Bailey.
She will be dearly missed by her son, Lawrence Beier; daughter in Law, Marilyn Beier; and grandsons, Eugene Haig, and Matthew Haig. She will also be missed by her many dear friends, including her life long wonderful friend of 70 years, Marion Gebelian. Martha also leaves behind many special friends from Dremel Manufacturing.
Martha was Rosie the Riveter, holding many jobs over the years. She worked for several years at Hamilton Beach, her career culminating with over 30 years at Dremel Manufacturing. At Dremel she developed several dear and lasting friendships, especially with Javelle Hinze. Martha had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes.
Her many hobbies included coin collecting, reading, bird watching, fishing, hunting with her nephews in her earlier years, and visiting with friends. Last but certainly not least was humor, Martha was great at making people laugh.
Martha was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Bailey; and five sisters, Florence Bailey, Elizabeth Scafe, Helen Riechhoff, Shirley Anderson, and Vera Meyer.
There will be a viewing and service at Wilson Funeral Home on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Monday from 9 AM until the time of service at 11 AM. A private burial service for Martha will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at West Lawn Memorial Park.
