Marjorie Irene Wentzel's Obituary
Mount Pleasant – Marjorie Irene Wentzel, 97, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
Marjorie was born on July 14, 1928, to August and Hedwig Coe (Larsen) in Mt. Pleasant, WI. She graduated from Washington Park High School in 1946. She was united in marriage to Milton Wentzel on November 25, 1950, at Epiphany Evangelical Lutheran Church (now called Water of Life Lutheran Church) in Racine where she remained a member.
Marjorie worked briefly at Rainfair before working at Motor Research Co. for six years. After the birth of her children, she devoted her life to lovingly caring for her family and home. Marjorie also found great enjoyment in art, sewing, quilting, knitting and making costumes for her grandchildren.
Marjorie will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 75 years, Milton Wentzel; her sons: Kevin Wentzel (Ronne Senick) of Cypress, TX and Robert Wentzel (Debra) of Mondovi, WI; her grandchildren: Beth (Johnson) Thornton (Trent) of Sheboygan, WI, Frederick Johnson (Marisa Schramm) of Kenosha, WI, Andrea Wentzel of Marshfield, WI, Rebecca (Wentzel) England (Scott) of Lansdale, PA, Jessica Wentzel (David Pereira) of San Diego, CA and Amy Wentzel (Jeffrey Burke) of Cypress, TX and her great-grandchildren: Elise England, Celeste England, Lilah Pereira, Ari Pereira, and Cora Burke.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her daughter, Luann Johnson, and an infant son; her parents; brothers: Paul August Coe, Harvey Larsen, James Coe; and sisters: Alice Donnely, Dorothy Wold, Ida Suchy and Myrtle Dickman.
Committal services and interment to be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
