Marjorie Ruth Allert's Obituary
Racine- Marjorie R. Allert, 93, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Willowgreen Assisted Living in Caledonia.
She was born in Chicago on May 23, 1919 to the late Arthur V. and Laura E. (nee: Wienecke) Allert. She lived most of her life in Racine.
Recently, Marge had become a member of Franksville United Methodist Church. Previously she had been a member of Christ Church United Methodist since 1932. She had also been a member of Orphan Kanines, Racine Heritage Museum, the Racine Zoological Society, International Crane Foundation and the Wisconsin Society for Ornithology. In 1993, she retired from First Weber, formerly known as N. Christensen & Sons Real Estate as a bookkeeper.
She is survived by her cousin, James (Patricia) Alstrin of Wheaton, Il.; his children, April Alstrin of Boulder, CO, and Suzy (Don) Gadbois and their son, Adam of Florida; as well as other relatives and dear friends whom were like family.
Funeral services in honor of Marge will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:30am with Rev. Kay Glennon officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00am until the time of service. Private interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials in honor of Marge may be directed to Orphaned Kanines or to the Salvation Army.
