Marion Jane Schumacker's Obituary
Marion Jane (nee Jacobson) Schumacker, age 92, passed away on April 13, 2016 at Wheaton Franciscan All-Saints Hospital.
Marion was born in Racine, WI on October 20, 1923 to Andrew and Dagmar (nee Kvalheim) Jacobson. Marion married Edward Schumacker in Racine on June 27, 1953. Marion worked at Western Publishing for many years until her retirement.
Marion was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was an avid bowler, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Marion loved watching the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers.
Left to cherish Marion’s memory are her two daughters: Becky (Leroy) Haas and Liz Anderson; grandchildren: Heather Morones, Allison (Jamal) Mosley, Jared Schumacker, and Shelby Haas; great-grandchildren: Miranda Morones, Jordan Morones, and Addison Mosley; a brother, Eugene “Jake” (Jean) Jacobson; and other relatives and friends.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; daughter, Susan Marie; and 8 siblings: Martha, Sophie, Kay, Agnes, Helen, Herbert, Dagmar, and Jeanette.
Visitation for Marion will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church (3805 Kinzie Ave) from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Marion’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.
