She lived in Racine for most of her life. She married Harold Lascelle on September 30, 1961. Harold preceded Marion in death on September 19, 1994. Marion was a nanny in Chicago, IL during the depression years. Marion loved to dance! She was a member of the USO Club, dancing with the servicemen, during WWII. Marion often spoke fondly of her working years at Hamilton Beach in Racine. She was a proud member of their 25 year club. After Hamilton Beach had moved out of Racine, Marion worked at Voolas until her retirement in 1986. In her younger years, Marion enjoyed going on tour group trips with her girlfriends to New York, California, and Washington, DC. She enjoyed spending a lot of her spare time at the beach on Lake Michigan with her friends. Marion was a fun and loving Aunt. She had many wonderful Christmas Eve parties and family picnics at her Racine home that she loved. Her hobbies were dancing and reading. She always enjoyed having a good cup of coffee. She was never one to sit still for long. She always kept a spotless house. She was “anti-clutter” before it became popular. Marion was a long time member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sturtevant, WI.
Marion is survived by her sister, Frances (Everett) Brooks, Omro, WI. Marion is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Doperalski; her husband Harold; her brothers, Felix, Raymond, Alex, Louis, and Walter; and her nephew, Scott Doperalski.
