Marie Venne's Obituary
Mrs. Venne, 89, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2007 at Home Harbor. She was born in Knox, North Dakota on March 15, 1918 to the late Elmer and Florence Anderson. She lived most of her life in Racine. She was united in marriage to Earl Venne in Racine on June 14, 1941. He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1982.
She was an avid member of First Evangelical Free Church and Bible Study. She was loved for her cookies and was proudly known as the "Cookie Lady". She enjoyed traveling and fishing. Her greatest hobbies were making things with her hands.
She is survived by three children; Elmer (Rose) Venne of Havre, Montana, Rose (Rick) Seeger of Sturtevant, John (Becky) Venne of Racine, nine grandchildren; Earl (Roseann) Venne, San Antonio, TX, Jim (Tammy) Venne of St. Agnisus, Montana, Mike (Kathy) Venne of Ridgefield, WA, Jennifer (Joe) Hofer of Havre Montana, Julie (Pete) Huseby, Havre, Montana, Todd Seeger, Kenosha, Tracy Seeger, Austin, TX, Scott (Debbie) Venne, Racine, Denise (Dale) Christopherson, Racine, eleven great-grandchildren; one brother; Elmer Anderson, Racine, one sister; Florence Anderson, Racine, special niece; Barbara (George) Yust, Racine, special friends; Jennifer, Reilly and the staff at Harbor House, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother; William Anderson and a sister; Violet Neuman.
Funeral services will be held at First Evangelical Free Church 2401 Ohio St. on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 4 p.m. with Rev. John Bodner officiating. Friends may meet with the family at the church on Thursday afternoon from 2-4 p.m.
Memorials in memory of Mrs. Venne to First Evangelical Free Church have been suggested.
