Maria de Jesus Vargas' Obituary
Maria De Jesus Vargas, age 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
She was born on May 10, 1929, in Ayotlan, Jalisco, Mexico, to the late Juana Murillo Razo and Jose Guadalupe Vargas Hernandez.
On June 10, 1947, Maria was united in marriage to J. Jesus Vazquez Iturriaga at San Jose Casas Caídas in Jalisco, Mexico. They shared many wonderful years together until his passing on November 28, 1963.
Maria was a devoted woman of faith and attended the Church of San Jose Casas Caídas, parish of La Barca, Jalisco. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—knitting and sewing, caring for her plants, and preparing meals for her family as an exceptional cook. Above all, Maria cherished time spent with her grandchildren, whom she deeply loved and cared for.
She will be dearly missed by her loving children: daughters Raquel and Irma; sons Raul, Ramon, Raymundo, Rogelio, and Armando; as well as 33 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren who adored her.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J. Jesus Vazquez Iturriaga, and her son, Ricardo Vazquez.
