Margaret Mary Nelsen's Obituary
Franksville- Mrs. Margaret M. (nee: Jacobsen) Nelsen, 94, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Franciscan Villa in South Milwaukee.
Margaret was born in Racine on March 23, 1918 to the late Charles and Mary Jacobsen and lived her entire life in the Racine area. On December 19, 1936, she was united in marriage to Richard Nelsen.
Margaret was an avid gardener who loved working in her flower beds. She also enjoyed traveling in her motor home and collecting many things, especially buttons and antiques. She had also been a 4-H leader for over 10 years and had taught sewing. But most of all, she loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Richard; children, Donna (Kenneth) Barth, Richard Nelsen, and Randall (Judi) Nelsen; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; and many other close family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 14 brothers and sisters; and daughter-in-law, Janice Nelsen.
A service in honor of Margaret will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at St. Louis Catholic Church (13207 Hwy G, Caledonia) at 11:00am. Interment will take place at Caledonia Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet the family at the church on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of service.
