Margaret J. Miller's Obituary
Racine- Margaret J. (nee: Brandt) Miller, 87, passed away on Friday morning, February 15, 2013 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints after a battle with cancer.
Margaret was born in Milwaukee on December 4, 1925 to the late Arthur and Sadie (nee: Fagan) Brandt. She graduated from Horlick High School in 1943. On January 5, 1946, she was united in marriage to Edward Miller. He preceded her in death in 1983. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Margaret had been employed at various places before becoming a secretary at water utilities for the City of Racine until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church.
She will be dearly missed by her sister, Gladys Gutzman of Racine; brother, James Brandt of Milwaukee; niece, Kristen (Paul) Cook of Racine; great nephew, William Lutz; two great-great nieces, Flora and Cora Lutz, all of Collingswood, NJ; and a brother-in-law, Jerome (Ruth) Miller. Besides her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Brandt Jr.
Private services in honor of Margaret were held with entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery-Hwy 32.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints and Wheaton Franciscan Home Health and Hospice for their excellent care of Margaret.
