Margaret Feilen's Obituary
Hales Corners – Margaret Elizabeth Feilen (nee: Meingast), 96, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Hales Corner Care Center.
Margaret was born in Milwaukee on April 6, 1917 to the late Francis Meingast and Charlotte (nee: Brauch) Meingast. In June of 1941, she was united in marriage to Joseph J. Feilen, Jr. and he preceded her in death on July 2, 1969.
She was a member of St. Matthias' Catholic Church for many years. Margaret was a hardworking and giving person devoted to her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her. Margaret enjoyed spending time fishing and crocheting. She was a bowler and avid Milwaukee Braves/Brewers fan. She took great pleasure in time spent at the casino and playing bingo with friends.
Margaret is mother to Jean Carol Salza, Kathleen D. (William) McElwee, and JoAnn L. (Patrick) Calliari; grandmother to Tony Salza, Michele (Jeff) Hintz, Daniel (Lisa) McElwee, Ryan Calliari, and Jenna Calliari; great-grandmother to Ethan, Brady, Erin, Hayden, and Madison; sister-in-law Louise and the many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A mass celebrating the life of Margaret will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at St. Matthias Catholic Church (9300 W. Beloit Rd., Milwaukee) at 2 pm. Relatives and friends may meet the family at church on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 12:00-1:45 pm. Interment will follow at St. Matthias Cemetery.
