Margaret Rose Casarez's Obituary
Racine - Margaret Rose Casarez, 74, passed away peacefully at her home with family at her side on December 1, 2022.
Margaret was born in Sterling, Illinois to the late Margarito and Julia (nee Ortiz) Casarez on August 23, 1948. She grew up enjoying riding her bike, listening to music, and dancing. Margaret was employed at Marshall Field’s Co. ‘The most biggest and expensive store on State St.’ – currently, Macy’s. In 2002 at about the age of 54, she retired from retail to care for her family.
Margaret became visually challenged from Retinitis Pigmentosa. Her impaired vision reduced her enjoying of many activities from her past. However, Margaret found enjoyment in going out to restaurants, music, and dancing. What Margaret appreciated the most was living the rest of her life for her children and grandchildren, who gave her the greatest joy.
Margaret will be lovingly missed by her daughters: Jozette J. DeLeon, and Martina J. (Jesse J.) Aguinaga; grandchildren: Michelle Vasquez, Bianca R. Rodriguez, twins: Michael J. and Veda M. Rodriguez, twins: Jesse D. and Juliet F. Aguinaga, and Joniylah M. DeLeon-Vargas; sisters: Josephine S. Casarez-Arana, and Julie D. Casarez-Madrano. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by two sons: Miguel C. Vasquez and Julian Casarez.
Private services for Margaret will be held and will be cremated per her wishes.
