Majel Geschke's Obituary
Mrs. Geschke, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Hospice House in Kenosha on Saturday evening, December 16, 2006. She was born in Racine on Feb. 14, 1925 to the late Robert C. and Mabel (nee: Thompson) Pottinger. She lived all of her life in Racine.
She was a graduate of Washington Park High School, January Class of 1943, continuing her education at the Beauty College of Milwaukee. She was employed as a beautician. She loved being a homemaker and raising her five children. She was active in the Racine Salvation Army.
She is survived by her five children: Diane (Dennis) Jetzer of Madison, David of Racine, Dennis (Sheryl) of Topeka, KS, Debra Erickson of Odessa, TX, Daniel (Ann) of Racine, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers, Wesley and Ernest (Beverly) Pottinger, one sister, Gloria Pottinger, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Geschke, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave., on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. with Major Edmonds officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.
