Mae Luxem's Obituary
Racine - Mrs. Mae A. Luxem (nee: Bulgrin), 88, passed away at Becker Shoop Center on Friday, December 3, 2010.
Mae was born in Wisconsin Rapids to the late Paul and Anne (nee: Schemmel) Bulgrin on November 20, 1922. She lived in Racine for most of her life. In Racine, she was united in marriage to Robert J. Luxem on May 1, 1943. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1972.
Mrs. Luxem was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was employed by Professional Positioners for 10 years retiring in 1985. She enjoyed golf, but bowling was special to her. She would take all her grandchildren bowling. She was a loving mother and cared much for her family. She was always there for them when she was needed.
Mae is survived by four children, Richard (Barbara) Luxem, James (Susan) Luxem, Becky (John) Venne and Marianne (Sands) Ruffalo; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one brother, Leland (Joan) Bulgrin; her favorite aunt, Alma Cooper; one son-in-law, Tim Petzke and one sister-in-law, Lorraine Bulgrin. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Louise Petzke and one brother, Charles Bulgrin.
A funeral ceremony will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 3700 Washington Avenue, on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 12 noon. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 11 am until the time of ceremony. Memorials may be directed to the MACC Fund.
