Madeline Mills' Obituary
Racine - Madeline V. Mills, 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 17, 2013.
Mandy was the daughter of John and Anna (nee: Pederson) Clausen born on July 1, 1919 in Racine. On June 28, 1947, Mandy married Roger Owen Mills at Holy Communion Lutheran Church. Madeline and Roger were happily wed for 63 years. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2011.
Mandy was raised in Racine during World War II. Mandy was employed at the Dumore Company from January 25, 1942 until June 25, 1947. On April 23, 1953, she became employed by the John Oster Company for over 11 years when the company moved to Florida.
Together they worshiped at Racine Bible Church for almost 30 years and then became members in January 2001. Mandy enjoyed reading the Bible, fishing and camping. She was an excellent knitter and dearly loved animals, especially dogs.
Madeline is survived by her nephews, William and David Olson; great nieces and nephews, Tamryn Anderson, Tia Kon, Todd Olson, Philip Olson, and Jon Olson; second cousins, Nancy Hitz and Sarah Pintner, as well as other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna; husband Roger; sister, Nellie Olson; and brother, Christ Petersen.
A memorial service in honor of Madeline will take place at 11:00am at Racine Bible Church on Saturday April 13, 2013. Private interment took place at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials in honor of Mandy may be directed to Racine Bible Church- Pacesetters.
