Lynnemarie Vanhoogen's Obituary
Lynnemarie Vanhoogen, 79, of Racine, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Lynnemarie was born on October 29, 1946, in Boston, Massachusetts. She was united in marriage to Sonny Vanhoogen on October 5, 1979, in Illinois. Together they shared many wonderful years of love and companionship until his passing on July 6, 2015.
Lynnemarie spent much of her life working in the restaurant industry, where she was known as a dedicated and friendly server and hostess. She truly enjoyed connecting with people and making others feel welcome. Above all, Lynnemarie loved her family. She cherished time spent playing cards, hosting cookouts, and gathering everyone together to share laughter and memories. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Lynnemarie will be dearly missed by her son, Larry Tucker; her grandchildren, Jessica Tucker, Melissa (Thomas) Wike, and Daniel (Christina) Copeland; and her nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and her parents.
Lynnemarie’s warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be remembered always.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 24, from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Wilson Funeral Home.
