Lucille Eleanor Hohenberger's Obituary
RACINE—Lucille Eleanor Hohenberger (nee: Olsen), 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2015.
Lucille was born on March 22, 1926 to Harold and Lucy (nee: Meyer) Olsen in Racine. She was united in marriage to Frank Hohenberger on September 13, 1952. They were married for almost 60 years.
Lucille enjoyed gardening and being a homemaker. She had a passion for travelling with Frank and her family across the country. Lucille liked to read everything from novels to newspapers. Above all, she loved her family and cherished her grandchildren.
Lucille will be dearly missed by her daughters, Janis (John) Brettschneider, Kathy (Jeff) Koessl, and Mary (Ken) Morgenson; grandchildren, Mike and Christine Koessl, Steven Brettschneider, and Erin and Kenny Morgenson; sister-in-law, Pauline Haglund; and many other nephews, relatives, and friends. Lucille was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank; and her parents, Harold and Lucy Olsen.
A Funeral Mass for Lucille will be held on Thursday morning, June 4, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church with Father Mark Jones officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Wednesday evening, June 3, 2015 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM with a Prayer Vigil starting at 7:30 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church on Thursday morning, June 4, 2015 from 9:45 AM until the time of Mass. Memorials to St. Lucy’s Catholic Church have been suggested.
