Louise Mary Radtke's Obituary
Sturtevant – Louise Mary Radtke, 79, passed away with her family at her side at the Zilber Home Family Hospice in Wauwatosa on December 5, 2021.
Louise was born in Marshfield to Emery and Loretta (nee Leible) Becker on December 15, 1941. She attended Marshfield High School and graduated class of 1959. Louise participated in the school choir. During her years in high school, she worked at Figi’s packaging gifts.
After her graduation, Louise met Gene Albert Radtke. They were united in marriage on April 21, 1960. Together they moved to Racine, and she worked at a few jobs including Kohls and Rainfair Sewing. When Louise and Gene had children, she delighted in taking care of her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Louise relished baking and appreciated plants and wildlife. She was skilled in sewing and many other crafts. She also enjoyed music along with singing. Louise’s favorite pastime was shopping with her daughter. There was never an opportunity missed when shopping was presented. Louise was a fun loving, kindhearted person who loved to laugh and will be dearly missed.
Louise will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Gene; children: Keith, Stuart, and Jana (Remzy) Bitar; grandchildren: Bill, Sarah, Jason, Cassandra, and Jonathan Radtke, Jordan and Kadan Bitar; six greatgrandchildren; sister, Peggy Hunter; brother, John (Peggy) Becker; special friend, Nicole Slawson; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Emery and Loretta Becker; brothers: Tom and David Becker; sisters; Delores (Vern) Kempf, Beverly (Vern) Staller, and Sheila Becker.
A celebration of Louise’s life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, beginning with a visitation from 9:30 AM until the memorial service at 10:30 AM. Service of committal and Inurnment will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery outdoor chapel at 2:00 PM. Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Racine County have been suggested.
