Lorraine E. Wagner's Obituary
Racine – Lorraine E. Wagner, 90, passed away comfortably at her home on Sunday, January 11, 2015.
Lorraine was born in Oshkosh to the late Harry and Edna (nee: Ott) Volz on September 28, 1924. She graduated from Washington Park High School. Later, she met the love of her life, Alex Wagner at a church youth group and choir meeting. They were married on September 28, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2010.
Lorraine was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church her entire life. She was employed at Hamilton Beach Company until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling the world; her most interesting trip was to China. She was also an avid dancer with the Kenosha Square Dance Group.
Lorraine will be dearly missed by her family and friends who adored her wonderful sense of humor, honesty and generosity. She will be remembered as a lady of kindness. She never complained, even when in poor health.
Lorraine is survived by her brother, Robert (Darlene) Volz; brother-in-law, Adolph (Jeanne) Wagner; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Holtz, Frieda Kugel and Virginia Bittorf; and brothers, Norman Volz and Arnold Volz.
Funeral services in honor of Lorraine will be held at Grace Lutheran Chruch on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Randell Poppe officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
