Lolita Verl Ketchum's Obituary
Lolita Verl Ketchum, age 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 27, 2018 at the Villa at Lincoln Park. Lolita was born in Racine, WI on March 13, 1925 to the late Cecil and Rose (Olsen) DeGarmo.
Lolita was married to the love of her life, William Clinton Ketchum, on September 5, 1942.
Lolita was a dedicated member of the First Evangelical Free Church and was very active there. She taught Sunday school and was also a member of The Missionary Society. Lolita’s musical talents included being a member of the string band and being the church organist for over 40 years. Lolita’s grandfather, Clark DeGarmo, was the founder of the church in 1934.
Lolita is survived by her children: Lynda (Randy) Worden, Barbara Christoffersen, and Victoria (John) Thorpe; grandchildren: Michelle (David) Axelby, Daniel (Maureen) Christoffersen, Michael (Linda) Worden, JD (Amanda) Thorpe, and Julie Pearson; six great-grandchildren; special friend, Steve, and many other relatives and friends.
Lolita was preceded in death by her husband, William, parents, 1 great- grandchild; brother, Cecil C. DeGarmo, and sisters: Shirley Gunnarson and Phyllis in infancy.
A celebration of Lolita’s life will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to meet at the Wilson Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private inurnment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Villa at Lincoln Park and those at Kindred Hospice for the compassionate care shown to Lolita.
