Lola M. Fritz's Obituary
Union Grove, formerly of Racine – Lola M. Fritz, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, at Oak Ridge Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born January 2, 1939, in Oshkosh, WI, Lola was the daughter of William and Margery (nee Martin) Thorne. She married Norman E. Fritz on January 13, 1962, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waukesha, WI. Together, they built a life of love and devotion.
Lola was an active member of New Life Lutheran Church – Somers Campus, where she volunteered and shared her talents. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing, often making gifts for family and friends. Lola was a dedicated mother and grandmother, known for her strong will and loving guidance.
Lola will be lovingly remembered by husband, Norman; children, Timothy, Richard (Naudith), Matthew (Lori), and Norman (Lisa); nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Linda) Fritz; sister, Cecile Waring; as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margery Thorne; brother, Joseph Thorne; and brother-in-law, George Waring.
A memorial service will be held at New Life Lutheran Church – Somers Campus, 1520 Green Bay Road, Somers, WI 53144, on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. A private committal service will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
