Lindsay Reneé Garcia's Obituary
Racine - Lindsay Reneé Garcia (née Simon), age 40, passed away with family by her side on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center, Mount Pleasant.
Born on September 3, 1984, in Madison, Wisconsin, Lindsay was the beloved daughter of Nicholas and Susan (née Ward) Simon.
Lindsay was a proud graduate of Case High School, where she was an accomplished athlete and a valued member of the track team. She competed at the state level in La Crosse, Wisconsin, as part of the school's relay team. Following high school, she continued her education at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater.
On July 7, 2012, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Esteban Garcia III, in Janesville. Their love was profound and enduring, even through Esteban’s passing on May 16, 2022.
Lindsay was known for her exceptional customer service and vibrant personality, having worked at numerous small restaurants throughout Racine and the Racine Country Club. Her career path brought her to Ascension All Saints Hospital, where she took great pride in her work, serving in many roles within the laboratory department.
A true artist at heart, Lindsay embraced creativity in all forms. She loved nature, crafting, painting, jewelry, and was especially passionate about tigers. She found joy in movies, TV, and stand-up comedy — with a special love for “dad jokes” that matched her witty and spunky spirit. But above all, Lindsay was a devoted mother. Her children were the light of her life, and she was their fiercest advocate and greatest source of love.
Lindsay was a fighter, an artist, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. Her vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of those she knew.
Lindsay will be deeply missed by her loving parents: Nicholas and Susan Simon; her cherished children: Esteban IV, Ethan, and Emma; her sister: Nicole (Danielle) Sayre; and her adored nieces and nephews: Tyler MacDowell, Silas Charles, Harley Joe, Harley Mae, Jonah, Myles, and Everly. She also leaves behind many other treasured family members and friends.
Lindsay was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Esteban Garcia III, and her sister, Angela Christine Simon.
A celebration of Lindsay’s life will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 3 pm. Friends and family are invited to gather at the funeral home beginning at 1:30 pm until the time of ceremony. Following the services, details about a gathering will be announced.
