Linda Krueger-Pawlak's Obituary
Linda, 62, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Friday morning, Aug. 1, 2008. She was born in Racine on May 13, 1946 to Harold and Ella (nee: Beckman) Sparks. She lived all of her life in the Racine area. She was united in marriage to Jim P. Pawlak in Las Vegas, NV on Jan 31, 1987.
She was employed at Abbott Laboratory for 20 years retiring in Jan. 2006. She was a manager in the Diagnostic Division. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Burlington. Linda was an engaging and energetic soul, always ready with a smile. As the eldest of nine children, she was always surrounded by and caring for family. She especially loved spending time with her granddaughters. She was an avid boater, loved the outdoors and traveling to Las Vegas and Florida.
She is survived by her husband; Jim P. Pawlak, daughter and son-in-law; Shawn (Dr. David DeAngeles) Krueger, two granddaughters, Alex and Dani DeAngeles; mother, Ella Sparks; five sisters, Nancy Hendren, Susan (Charles) Kuiper, Sally Ackerman, Judy (Scott) Barrows, Marie (Lance) Buchta, three brothers, Robert (Lynne), Michael (Kristie), Wally (Jane) Sparks, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Sparks in 1978.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave., on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 7 p.m. with Pastor Rob Bolling officiating. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
Memorials in memory of Linda to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
