A Life of Faith, Music, and Generosity
Racine - Linda Rae (née Flamme; Ball) Hansen, age 84, was called to her heavenly home on April 29, 2026.
Born in Racine, Wisconsin, on February 3, 1942, Linda was the beloved daughter of Daniel Earl and Elizabeth Catherine (née Cikar) Flamme. She graduated from Washington Park High School and later earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Ripon College. Linda had a brief teaching career at both UNC-Chapel Hill and UNC-Wilmington. On April 21, 2017, she married Randol Roy Hansen at Calvary Memorial Church in Racine.
Over the years, Linda attended various churches, sharing her faith and musical talents as a gifted organist and pianist, enriching countless Sunday services and other church events. She was actively involved with The Knit Wits knitting group known for donating prayer shawls and baby hats to those in need. Linda cherished scenic drives with Randol around Wisconsin, seeking no particular destination.
Linda will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Randol; her son, Michael (Judy) Ball; Randol’s children, Karin (Becky Watts) Hansen and Richard (Tracy) Hansen; her grandchildren, Jesse and Erin Ball, Randol’s grandchildren Anna (John) Harmon, Peter Hansen, Troy (Stephanie), James, Joshua (Kelsey), and Corey Harman; Randol’s great-grandchildren, Ezekyel, Samuel, Judah, Zion, and Emmanuel Harman; and numerous church communities and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her previous husband, Maurice Ball.
A private service of committal and interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that Linda’s memory be honored through a donation to your favorite charity.
Linda’s life was marked by her passion for and gift of music and creativity and the love for her husband and family. Though her absence is deeply felt, her memory remains warmly present in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
