Lillian Sarah Jacobsen's Obituary
Mrs. Lillian Sarah Orton Jacobsen, 80, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Hospital in Racine on October 9th, 2014.
Lillian was born in Tooele, Utah to the late Walter and Genevieve Orton on April 23rd, 1934.
She attended Tooele High School and worked at the local movie theater in Utah, where she met James John “Jake” Jacobsen. James and Lillian were married on February 10, 1954, and moved back to Racine, where they lived for the rest of their lives.
Lillian loved shopping, crocheting and reading Romance novels as well as giving a loving home to many dogs and cats. Known as Mom to the Neighborhood kids, she was famous for her peanut-butter brownies and her wonderful sense of humor.
Lillian will be missed by her children, Debbie Jacobsen, Patricia Jacobsen, James (Christine Zyszkiewicz) Jacobsen, John (Karyn Hoecherl) Jacobsen, and Sarah Crull; eleven grandchildren, Casey (Jackie Dorsey), Carolina, Gabriella, Ema, Ethan, John Peter, Genevieve, Kaitlyn, and Kian; three great grandchildren: Haley, Levi and Ava; other relatives and friends; and her faithful companion, Mackie the dog.
She was preceded in death by her husband James on December 9th, 2010; one grandson, Cody Lee Crull; and two brothers, Jack and Orville Orton; and two sisters, Beverly Armentrout and Erma Henning.
Per her wishes, Mrs. Jacobsen will be cremated and joined with her husband.
