Lillian Spear's Obituary
Racine- Lillian V. (nee: Hanson) Spear, 83, passed away at her home on October 31, 2011.
Lillian was born in Racine on April 8, 1928, daughter of the late August and Verna (nee: Christensen) Hanson. She was united in marriage to Richard J. Spear on September 2, 1950. They shared 61 wonderful years together. She enjoyed gardening and volunteering in the coffee shop at Lincoln Lutheran Home for many years. Above all, her family gave her the most joy.
She is survived by her husband, Richard J. Spear, who lovingly cared for her the last years of her life; her, son, Thomas Spear; daughters Cathryn (Kevin) Whiting and Lauri (Rob) Pileski; seven grandchildren, Jesse, Daniel, and Matthew Spear, Britney Whiting, Joshua, Nicholas, and Jacob Ramsey; a sister, Shirley Klees, cousin, Pearl Smith; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, William, Leslie, and Kenneth Hanson.
A visitation in honor of Lillian will be held at Wilson Funeral Home from 11:00 until noon. A private committal service will follow at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, cards and letters are appreciated. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
