Lester Redmond's Obituary
Racine - Mr. Lester L. Redmond, 68, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - All Saints on Friday, September 25, 2009.
Lester Redmond was born in Mercer, Pennsylvania to the late Everett and Esther (nee: Shields) Redmond on August 30, 1941. He lived in Racine for 50 years. He was united in marriage to Lois J. LaMere on November 8, 1963.
Mr. Redmond was a machinist at Interlake Co. He was a very patriotic man and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He was a lover of animals, especially his dogs. His favorite time of the year was Christmas and New Years. He was an avid recipe collector and enjoyed grilling and playing cards. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Butch will be dearly missed by his wife, Lois; two daughters, Christine and Brenda; three grandchildren, Justin, Stephanie, and Kassadee; four brothers; one sister; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Scott; and three brothers.
Memorial services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday evening, October 1, 2009 at 6pm. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 5pm until service time. Memorials may be directed to the Countryside Humane Society.
