Leonard Clausen's Obituary
Racine - Mr. Clausen, 77, passed away Sunday evening, January 7, 2007 at the Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Mr. Clausen was born in Racine on May 13, 1929 to the late Peter and Kirsti (nee: Svenson) Clausen. He was united in marriage to the former Nancy Karns in Menomonie on August 14, 1954.
Mr. Clausen was President of Peter Clausen & Son's General Contractors for 40 years retiring in 1991. Leonard was a member of Gethsemane Ev. Lutheran Church.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Nancy; four children, Barbara (Kevin) Christensen, Daniel (Sonja) Clausen, and Jeffery (Jean) Clausen all of Racine, and Nan Doucette of Franklin; former son-in-law, Jim Doucette of Franklin; eight grandchildren, Alissa and Eric Christensen, Katie and Amy Clausen, Jenna and Dana Clausen, and Casey and Kayla Doucette; one brother, Kenneth (Saralee) Clausen; and one sister-in-law, Edna Clausen all of Racine. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harry; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel (George) Woodward and Helen (Fritz) Rasmussen; and two nephews, Gerry Woodward and Peter Clausen.
Memorial services will be held at Gethsemane Ev. Lutheran Church, 3319 Washington Ave., on Thursday evening, January 11, 2007 at 6 pm with Rev. Albert Guetzlaff officiating. Private inurnment services for the family will be held at Graceland Cemetery on Friday morning. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at Gethsemane Church on Thursday from 4 until 6 pm. Memorials to Gethsemane Ev. Lutheran Church Endowment Fund or Wisconsin Parkinson's Association have been suggested.
