Leokadia Than's Obituary
Racine – Leokadia Than, 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 20, 2013.
Kady was born to the late Michael and Francisca (nee: Dinda) Weinheimer on March 11, 1924. She was united in marriage to Alfred Than on October 27, 1946. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1992.
Kady was employed as a seamstress at Rainfair Company and retired in 1960. She attended both First Church of God and Racine Bible Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crochet and knitting. Kady was a kind and loving person to all who knew her.
Kady will be dearly missed by her sons, Gunther (Linda) Than and Ralph (Lynn) Than; grandchildren, Alexander, Dereck and Allysa; great grandson, Aben; and her sister, Martha M. Semmler. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Weinheimer and Oscar Weinheimer.
Funeral services in honor of Leokadia will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
