Lawrence Jack Heusdens' Obituary
Union Grove – Jack Heusdens, 91, passed away peacefully at Boland Hall at the Veterans Home on January 18, 2022.
Jack was born in Racine on July 20,1930, to Peter and Alice (nee Blackburn) Heusdens. He graduated from high school and went on to trade school to become a Journeyman plumber.
Jack was very giving with his craft and always volunteered to help family and friends free of charge. Jack loved his mother with his whole heart. His own kind heart was a gift from her. Jack loved the Milwaukee Brewers and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan to the extreme. His house was painted green and gold. He had a special room with his cherished Brett Farve portrait. Jack was a simple, kind man and if he were not spending time with his dogs, he would be found gambling at Potawatomi Casino. His game was blackjack, and he was really good at it. Jack was a great storyteller and liked to capture a crowd with his stories.
Jack will be dearly missed by his children: Deanne (Matthew) Warner-Olk and Sean Heusdens; grandchildren: Russell (Stephanie) Rediske, Scott Warner, Kevin (Hilary) Warner, and Jeremy Heusdens; great grandchildren: Hunter Rediske, Brooke Rediske, Allison Koontz, and Cheyenne Robles. Jack is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Jack was preceded in death by three wives: Elsie Heusdens, Josephine Heusdens, and Barbara Heusdens; sons: David and Peter Heusdens; siblings: Leona (Ben) Hurlock, Neil (Dorothy) Heusdens, and Pearl (William) Dankert.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held in the Spring at West Lawn Memorial Park. Online condolences and memories of Jack may be shared at www.wilsonfuneralhomeinc.com.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Aurora at Home Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Jack.
