Lawrence Beggs' Obituary
Racine - Mr. Lawrence O. Beggs, 91, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, Dec. 8 at his home.
Mr. Beggs was born in Earl, WI on January 18, 1916 to the late Milton and Retta (nee: Hurlbert) Beggs. He lived in Racine most of his life. In Racine, Lawrence was united in marriage to the former Pearl Boomsma in June of 1940.
Lawrence served his country with the United States Army during World War II. He owned and operated Research Weld Incorporated for 50 years until retiring in 2001. He was an active member at Racine Bible Church and loved flying and motorcycling in his younger years.
Lawrence is survived by his loving wife Pearl; children, Patricia (James) Erickson, David (Barbara) Beggs and Jonathan (Kathy) Beggs; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Beggs.
Funeral services will be celebrated at the Racine Bible Church, 12505 Spring Street, on Friday, December 14, 2007 at 2 pm with Pastor John W. Miesel officiating. A private family interment will be held on Saturday morning December 15, 2007 at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 12 p.m. until service time. Memorials to the Racine Bible Church Missions have been suggested.
