Laura Jean Andersen-Coe's Obituary
Racine – Laura Jean Andersen-Coe, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 5, 2025, at her residence.
Born in Racine on December 4, 1958, Laura was the beloved daughter of Terry and Barbara (née Ferg) Andersen. She spent much of her life in southeastern Wisconsin, working as a deli clerk at several Piggly Wiggly stores throughout the area. Most notably, she spent most of her career at the Kenosha location.
Laura was a homebody at heart who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved camping trips and cherished annual family reunions at Richard Bong State Recreation Area. She had a passion for cooking and could often be found watching her favorite television shows in the comfort of her home.
A devoted and loving mother, Laura dedicated much of her life to caring for her son, Kevin. Her unwavering love and compassion for him left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Laura will be deeply missed by her father, Terry and stepmother, Bettye Andersen; her sisters, Stefanie (Nicholas) Ryan and Lisa (Ron) Zimmerman; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Kevin Coe; her mother, Barbara Andersen; her sister, Susan Andersen; and her brothers, Steven Andersen and Paul Andersen.
A celebration of Laura’s life will be held at a later date. Her final resting place will be at Calvary Cemetery in Racine. Memorials in Laura’s name may be directed to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation (https://donate.cerebralpalsyfoundation.org/give/216457/#!/donation/checkout).
