Larry Fred Jensen's Obituary
Mount Pleasant – Larry Fred Jensen, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning, January 11, 2015 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Larry was born in Racine on November 18, 1932. He was raised as the only child of Christ and Rose (nee: Zacharias) Jensen. He was united in marriage to Carol Weiss in Racine on October 29, 1955. They recently celebrated their 59 years of marriage.
Larry served in the United States Army in the 48th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion in Germany during the Korean War. He was employed by the AMC-Chrysler Corporation as a Tool and Die Maker for 30 years, retiring on December 30, 1992. He was a very talented person with many interests. He enjoyed their place up north and fishing. He did beautiful carvings and wood workings. Larry especially loved his children and grandchildren. Doing things with them was special.
Larry will be deeply missed by his wife, Carol Jensen; children, Brian (Jacqueline) Jensen, Cheryl (Marcus) Jensen and Steven Jensen; grandchildren, Eric, Zachary, Alan and Darnell; and cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; Christ and Rose Jensen; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Minnie Weiss.
