Kenneth Larsen's Obituary
Mr. Kenneth Benjamin Larsen, 85, passed away on Wednesday January 16, 2008 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare.
Mr. Larsen was born to the late William and Gladys (nee: Melville) Larsen on October 2nd, 1922 in Kenosha. Kenneth married Dorris Hammar in Kenosha on September 20, 1947. She precedes him in death.
Mr. Larsen served his country in World War II in the United States Army. He worked at American Motors for 42 years as the superintendent of the Engine Division. He was a member of the First Church of God where he served on the maintenance, finance and nominating committees. He was a member of the VFW and was the former president of the Supervisor's Club of AMC. Kenneth also did volunteer work for the Shriners Children Hospital for many years.
Kenneth is survived by his five children, Christine (Steven) Hill of Minneapolis, Kenneth (Donna) Larsen of Waterford, Thomas (Melissa) Larsen of North Carolina, Kimberly Weise of Racine, and Keri (Leigh) Carlson of Racine; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and one brother, William Harvey Larsen.
Mr. Larsen is also preceded in death by one son, Charles; one great-grandson Oliver Hill; and one sister Ellen Potts.
Memorial Services will be held at First Church of God, 1650 Lathrop Ave., on Saturday January 19, 2008 at 1 p.m. with Rev. David Andrews officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the Church from 12 p.m. until the time of services.
