June Ann Pavia's Obituary
Racine-June Ann Pavia, 68, passed away with family by her side on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at the Ignite Hospice Facility in Oak Creek.
June was born to the late Joseph and Delores (nee Lightcap) Milburn on June 20, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio. She was united in marriage to Pat Pavia on June 29, 1991, in Racine.
June worked as a certified nursing assistant at several nursing homes over the years. One of the main places she worked at was Woodstock nursing home in Kenosha. June was considered the matriarch of the family. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings at her house, going to Browns Lake for cookouts, and spending time at the pool. June enjoyed watching Law and Order. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always happiest when she was with her loving husband, Pat, and her Chihuahua, Cutie.
June will be deeply missed by her husband, Pat Pavia; sons: George (Jennifer) Pisula and Troy Pisula; grandchildren: Michael, Armando, Justin, Savannah, Nico, Symon, Isaiah, Malachi, and Elijah; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters: Betty (Albert) Sanchez and Linda Milasuski; brothers: Robert, Russell, and Joseph; son-in-law, Daniel Vander Leest; dogs, Cutie and Scooter; cat, Molly; along with several other relatives and friends.
June is predeceased by her daughter, Tania Vander Leest; great-grandson, Nathaniel; sisters: Sandra and Patty Pavia; nephews: Michael and Gary Jones; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jesse Pavia and Juanita Bernel-Pavia; and brother-in-law, Leonard Pavia.
A Celebration of June’s Life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Ignite Hospice Facility for their wonderful and loving care of June. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the following people: Jess for staying overnight and helping June, Troy for getting June into hospice, and George for his constant everyday care for June for the past few years and for not leaving her side in her final days until her last breath.
