June Marie LeRette's Obituary
Racine – June Marie LeRette, 76, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the Villa at Lincoln Park in Racine.
June was born to Harold and Alice (nee Henningsen) Haack on April 24, 1948, in Racine. On December 2, 1972, she married the love of her life, George E. LeRette, also in Racine. Together, they shared a beautiful and enduring marriage of 51 years.
As a dedicated homemaker, June spent most of her life creating a warm and loving environment for her family. She was a former member of Fellowship Baptist Church, which later became Harbor Rock Tabernacle, where she found a spiritual home and community. June had a talent for knitting and sewing, hobbies that brought her joy and provided comfort to many through her handmade creations. She took great pleasure in watching her friends and family succeed, always offering her support and encouragement.
Her beloved dog, Hank, was a constant companion, bringing her endless joy and companionship. In her younger years, June was an avid bowler, participating in the Tuesday night special bowling league at GRC in Kenosha, where she made many cherished memories and lifelong friends. June was also known for her baking skills, especially her delicious Christmas cookies, quick breads, and candies, which were eagerly anticipated and enjoyed by all who knew her.
June will be deeply missed by her husband, George LeRette; sons: Mark (Gloria) LeRette and Scott LeRette; grandson, Daniel LeRette; brother, Gerald (Lupe) Haack; brothers-in-law: Tom (Jane) LeRette, Dennis (Sue) Besler Sr., Charles Besler Jr., and Jim (Francine) Besler; sister-in-law, Janet (Gary) Gossett; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Alice Haack; sisters: Janet Hyatt and Joanie Blinton.
A celebration of June’s life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, June 7, 2024, beginning with a visitation at 12:30 PM until the ceremony at 2:00 PM. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park on Monday, June 8, 2024, at 12:00 PM.
