June Eleanor Doomis' Obituary
June Eleanor Doomis (née Way), age 96, of Racine, passed away on November 8, 2025.
June was born on June 30, 1929, in Burlington, Wisconsin, to the late Harry Fred Way and Eleanor (née Paulson) Way. After graduating from high school, she dedicated her professional life to helping others. June worked for 30 years as a medical assistant/ office manager for the private practice of internal medicine/pulmonologist, Dr. William J. Little Jr. MD. Her compassion, dedication, and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on both her colleagues and patients. June retired in 1991, leaving behind a legacy of care and professionalism.
In 1952, June married the love of her life, Raymond L. Doomis, with whom she shared many happy years until his passing on October 26, 1988. Together, they built a life centered around family, faith, and community.
A devoted and long-standing member of Spring Prairie United Methodist Church, June lived her faith through service and kindness. She loved bowling, attending plays and symphonies, and was an enthusiastic sports fan. June proudly cheered for the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers, and was always quick to root for any team playing against the Bears, Vikings, or Lions.
June will be dearly missed by her loving family: nephews Michael (Sandra) Way, Jeffrey Way, and Randy (Lin) Kosar; nieces Kristine Tolzmann and Julie (Kurt) Bauman; great-nieces and nephews: Michael (Becca) Way, Tim (Claire) Way, Katelyn (Curtis) Johnson, Matthew (Danielle) Tolzmann, Sean Tolzmann, Jenna Tolzmann, Lauren Way, Kenneth (Casey) Bauman, and Emily Bauman; and great-great-nieces and nephews: Asher and Lucas Way, Bennett Way, Cadence and Ethan Olson, Colton Johnson, Eli and Liv Tolzmann, Vera and Sierra Bauman, and Kash and Brody Thomas.
June was preceded in death by her beloved husband Raymond Doomis; her brother and sister-in-law James and LuAnn Way; great-nieces Amanda and Angela; and her dear friend Dr. William J. Little Jr.
Services for June will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the West Lawn Memorial Park Chapel at 10:30 A.M. A time of visitation will be held in the chapel prior to the service at 10:00 A.M.
