I remember returning from my trip to Hawaii and going directly to Tom & Judy's wedding reception. Over the years knowing Judy, I always admired her talents as a fantastic cook, homemaker, and mother. Though we haven't been able to get together for several years, I always looked forward to her note after receiving our Christmas card. I enjoyed hearing about her special grandson, Charlie, as she enjoyed hearing about our special son, Todd. She was always a classy lady. We regret circumstances didn't allow us to attend her funeral but want to extend our sympathy to all of her family. Sonny, Mae, and Todd Mehringer

My condolences to the family of Judy. I am a friend of Ann Mattes Lotti and the Mattes family. I met Judy and Tom in 1984 when Ann and I drove to Racine for our college senior year Spring Break. Judy and Tom graciously gave us a place to stay. I think I gained 10lbs during our stay due to some of the most amazing meals that Judy created! She was so bubbly, fun, and creative! I still remember that trip like it was yesterday and of how cold WI and IL are in March! RIP

I first met Judy in1977 at downstairs community mass at St. Edwards Catholic church. A few years later we were both part of an informal prayer group. as our friendship grew I discovered what a big heart Judy had for her family, friends, and the elderly. Judy was very proud of her Danish heritage which was evident in her home decor. Judy welcomed us to her home with smiles and Danish treats to share. When I moved to Florida in 2017 we didn't see each other much. Judy did not answer her phone much so we stayed in touch by snail-mail. My memories of Judy cover forty years and will always be a treasure to me.
