Joyce Arlene VanSwol

RACINE – Joyce Arlene VanSwol, age 75, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015.
Joyce was born to Wilbert and Grace (nee: Storm) Deschler on March 21, 1939 in Racine, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Conrad VanSwol Jr. on November 9, 1957 in Union Grove, Wisconsin.  Having several different jobs in her lifetime, she worked at Highlands Restaurant as a cook, at Ametek as an assembler, at Iola Senior Center as an aid, but mostly enjoyed being a homemaker.  Joyce enjoyed playing Bingo and Scrabble, crocheting baby blankets, and spending time with her family, especially grandchildren.
Surviving are her three daughters: Audrey (Hector Rivera Jr.) Beth, Linda (Laron Robinson) González and Heidi (Jeffery) Castañeda; seven grandchildren: Mario Jr., Nicole, René Jr., Brittany, Andrés, Arturo Jr. and Tyler; thirteen great-grandchildren; three brothers: Richard, David and Harold Deschler; sister: Judy VanSwol; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and one sister.
A funeral service will be held at Wilson Funeral Home at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 21, 2015.  Friends and relatives may visit with the family from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.  Colleen Vice will officiate.  Interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial park at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 22, 2015.  Memorials may be directed to the family.
