Joyce King-Dawson's Obituary
Largo, Florida - Mrs. Joyce M. King-Dawson (nee: Andersen), 77, passed away at Largo Memorial Hospital in Largo, Florida on February 23, 2009.
Joyce was born in Hayes, Kansas to the late Nels and Esther (nee: Higgins) Andersen on September 16, 1931. She had lived in Racine for most of her life and had moved to Florida 15 years ago. In Largo, Florida, she was united in marriage to Charles Dawson on January 15, 1995.
Mrs. King-Dawson retired from Getty's Manufacturing in 1993. She was a member of the Harbor Lite Yacht Club and the Moose Club.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Charles; four children, Debra (Mark) Kunz, Sandra (Chuck) Schovain, Barbara (John) Brahm, and Michael (Terri) King; two step-daughters; three step-sons; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 10 am with Rev. Mary L. Janz officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, March 1, 2009 from 3 until 6 pm and on Monday morning from 9 am until time of service.
