Joseph John Adamski,'s Obituary
Racine- Mr. Joseph J. Adamski, Jr., 83, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Kenosha United Hospital.
Joseph was born in Racine on April 16, 1929 to the late Joseph Sr. and Anna (nee: Poritz) Adamski. A lifetime resident of Racine, Joseph graduated from Washington Park High School Class of 1949 and was employed at J.I. Case (CNH) as an inspector for many years before his retirement in 1988. He proudly served his country as a member of the 31st Infantry Division of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann (nee: Richer) on July 9, 1955. She preceded him in death on April 18, 2003.
Joseph was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the Green Bay Packers. He was an avid storyteller who had a sense of humor second to none. He also easily made friends wherever he went.
He will be dearly missed by his daughters, Kerry Adamski and Jill Lonergan of Racine; grandson, Eric (Holly) Lonergan , and great-granddaughter, Evelyn Lonergan. Besides his wife, Mary Ann, Joseph was preceded in death by his son-in- law, Timothy Lonergan, father, Joseph Sr., mother, Anna, and sister, Ruth (Warren) Pope.
Funeral services in honor of Joseph will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 5:00pm with Fr. Allen Brakowski officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 3:00pm until the time of service. Interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 10:00am (Please meet at the entrance).
