John Uick's Obituary
Racine - John Walter Uick, 60, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - All Saints on Tuesday, June 21, 2011.
John was born in Racine to the late Walter and Sadie (nee: Reardon) Uick on August 9, 1950 and lived in Racine all his life. He was united in marriage to the former Karen Heffel on August 13, 1988. He was a machinist at Twin Disc for 24 years.
He was a caring and loving husband and father, who enjoyed spending time with his family especially his children, and would do anything for them. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, going up north, listening to music along with playing the organ and accordion. He enjoyed his work and was a hard worker. John had a good sense of humor and was a great prankster.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; four children, Andrew, Michael (Christina), Brian, and Carolyn: one granddaughter, Chloe; four brothers, Jerry (Heidi), Jim, Tim (Dorreen), Dan (Brenda), nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave, on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.
