John Patek's Obituary
Mr. Patek, 89, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday morning, Oct. 1, 2006. He was born in Kewaunee on Aug. 29, 1917 to the late Lucas and Helen (nee: Dembski) Patek. He lived in Racine for over 50 years. He was united in marriage to the former Mary Rosman on Nov. 29, 1947 in Racine. She preceded him in death on Nov. 13, 1983.
He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was employed at Walker Manufacturing as a machinist for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church.
He is survived by his children: Joseph (Virginia) Patek of Rochester Hills, MI, Michael (Marcia) Patek of Mequon, Ann (Spencer) Patek-Islo, Cedarburg, eight grandchildren, one brother, Dr. Theodore Patek, one sister, Mrs. Nora Kuffel, and other relatives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church 1425 Grove Ave. on Friday, Oct. 6, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Allen Bratkowski officiating. Entombment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery Garden Court Crypts, Hwy 32. Friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials in memory of Mr. Patek to St. Edward Catholic Church have been suggested.
