Union Grove - Mr. John B. Lukasiewicz, 67, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare on Sunday morning, May 27, 2007.
John Lukasiewicz was born in Washburn to Thomas and Maude (nee: Tolliver) on June 21, 1939. He lived most of his adult life in Racine
Mr. Lukasiewicz was self-employed as an engineering consultant for 25 years retiring in 2000. He served in the United States Navy from 1959 until 1963. His rank was AC3 (E4) WV-2 Radio Operator and flew out of Midway Island, Hawaii. He was a member of the Willy Victors Group. He was passionate about Car Racing and worked on a pit crew for a race team in Lake Geneva.
John is survived by his three daughters, Kathy Christenson of Paddock Lake, Teri (Matt) Olsen of Racine, and Kim Lukasiewicz of Paddock Lake; his grand daughter, Angela Christenson; Rita Lukasiewicz; his siblings, Thomas (Peggy) Lukasiewicz of Washburn, Janice (Bill) Hegstrom of Silver Bay, Minnesota, and Mary (Bruce) Williams of Bayfield; his niece, Gwen; his nephews, Howard, Thomas E., Eric, and Andrew; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Daniel Lukasiewicz; his parents; his brother, Timothy Lukasiewicz; and his son-in-law, Dennis Christenson.
In following Mr. Lukasiewicz's wishes he will be cremated. Full Military Honors will be held privately at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Dover. Memorials in John's name may be directed to the Willy Victor Group and Jack Weber, 839 Harlequin Ct. Highland, Michigan 48357.
