Joan LaMack's Obituary
Union Grove - Joan Elaine LaMack, 68, passed away at her home. After a valiant fight with cancer, Joan received eternal healing on June 1, 2007. She was born in Racine on April 13, 1939 to the late Arnold and Mildred (nee: Leigh) Hanson. She lived all of her life in the Racine area. She was united in marriage to James Lee LaMack in Belvedere, IL., on April 22, 1957.
She had been employed by Racine Area United Way, UW-Milwaukee and UW-Parkside as a Financial Aid Advisor. She was a member of Yorkville United Methodist Church. She loved traveling and camping with her husband and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband; James L. LaMack, children; Jeanne Heller of Madison, Curtis (Melanie) LaMack, of Colorado Springs, CO, Beth Havron of Arpin, WI., twelve grandchildren; Matthew, Susannah, Joshua, Cameron, Hannah, Alexa, Jason, Amy, Timothy, Jonathan, Joseph and Janette, one sister; Diane (John) Gustafson of Peru, IL., former son-in-law, Michael Havron; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Joan was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Mark Heller.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave., on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 12 Noon with Rev. Gary Swanson officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
